Tarenbee’s Rental Fee is $100 an hour.
When planning please allow enough time for set-up and clean-up. A non-refundable Date-Hold Deposit of $100 is required with our Event Space Rental Agreement and Contract to reserve your date and times. The deposit will be deducted from the final bill. The Standard Rental Fee (plus any additional fees) must be payable to Tarenbee 7 days in advance of your event. No refunds will be issued 5 days prior to your event. Cash, check, and credit cards are accepted.
Policies and Regulations
Tarenbee is not responsible for lost, damaged, or stolen equipment or objects left on the premises. No animals are permitted on the property.
LIQUOR LIABILITY INSURANCE -ALCOHOL:
You may serve alcohol for your event, however, Tarenbee requires you to provide Host Liquor Liability Coverage Insurance and Liability which is easily available as a rider policy through the Renter’s current homeowner’s policy. The insurance required hereunder shall have a single limit liability of not less than $1 Million. Tarenbee shall be named as an additional insured of said policy for the length of the event. This is the renter’s responsibility and Renter shall provide Tarenbee with certificate of insurance naming Tarenbee as additional insured.
The Renter will be solely responsible for property damage to Tarenbee and personal injury to guests on Tarenbee’s property during event.
In the event of any damages occurring to the property the Renter will be held solely responsible and will be billed accordingly. Nothing can be taped, tacked, nailed or glued to the walls, windows, rock, or wooden beams. No confetti, glitter, rice, birdseed, flower petals, sparklers, or smoke machines are allowed on the premises. No helium balloons are permitted. Candles are not allowed with the exception of a wedding unity candle from Chapel Valley Honey’s pure beeswax collection.
Renter acknowledges that the premises are located near residential units and therefore agrees to control the noise level at the event such that it does not disturb neighboring occupants. In the event that the event creates a disturbance due to high noise volume, Renter shall immediately reduce the volume. If repeated disturbances are created, at Tarenbee’s discretion, the Renter may be expelled from the premises or the offending noise will be ended. In the event of disturbances to the point of expulsion, no portion of the rental fee will be refunded.
Note: Music must end by 9pm Sunday through Thursday and by 10pm on Friday & Saturday.
Date-Hold Deposit is Non-Refundable. More than 6 days prior to event 100% of Space Rental Fee will be refunded. From 5 days prior to event: NO RENTAL PAYMENT WILL BE REFUNDED. In the event the event runs longer than the estimated time Tarenbee has the right to charge additional money based on the standard rental charge.
Renter agrees to indemnify, defend, and hold Tarenbee, its building owners, officers, and agents harmless of and from any liabilities, costs, penalties, or expenses arising out of and/or resulting from the rental and use of the premises, including but not limited to, the personal guarantee of provision, service, and dispensing of payment by Renter, its employees, and agents of alcoholic beverages at Tarenbee. In the event Tarenbee, its building owners, officers, and/or agents, are required to file any action in court in order to enforce any provisions of this agreement, Renter agrees to pay Tarenbee, its building owners, officers, and/or agents, all reasonable attorney fees, court fees, and costs of suit incurred by Tarenbee, including all collection expenses and interest due.
Renter understands that the maximum standing capacity of Tarenbee is 150 people in the chapel and 80 people in the lower level’s gathering room and will not exceed this limit. The seating capacity in the chapel with rows of chairs is 110. The capacity for seating with tables is 75 in the chapel and 40 in the gathering room.
Catering, Cleaning, Trash and Equipment Removal
Tarenbee will be in a clean condition prior to the event. Renter is required to remove all equipment and return the space to the same clean condition in which it was found. There is no open flame or frying allowed on site. All trash must be collected, properly bagged and removed or set inside the back door by the Renter and/or the Caterer. There is an additional charge of $50 an hour for serving food in Tarenbee which will require using Tarenbee’s commercial kitchen. The Renter will NOT be charged the kitchen use fee if the Renter uses Tarenbee’s preferred chef, Keith Janssen.
City, County, State, and Federal Laws
The Renter agrees to comply with all applicable City, County, State, and Federal laws and shall conduct no illegal act on the premises. The Renter shall not sell alcohol on the premises at any time. The Renter may not serve alcohol to minors on the premises at any time. The Renter agrees to ensure alcoholic beverages are consumed in a responsible manner. Tarenbee reserves the right, in its exclusive discretion, to expel anyone who in its judgment is intoxicated or under the influence of alcohol or drugs, or who shall in any manner do or participate in any act jeopardizing the rights, use permit, or insurability of Tarenbee or the safety of its staff, guests, or building contents.
Entry and Exit
The Renter agrees that Tarenbee may enter and exit the premises during the course of the event.

- The person or persons using the facility are responsible for damages and stolen property and their guests and will be required to replace or bear any financial responsibility for the same. They are also responsible for the actions of their guests.

- No dancing in chapel (to protect original hardwood floor)
- Renters may not install any decorations that require nails, hooks, tape, adhesive, or a ladder to put in place.
- Nothing may be suspended from light fixtures or ceiling

- The chapel and kitchen are to be left in the same condition as before use.
- All major spills are to be cleaned up, including the ovens.
- All minors are to be supervised by an adult at all times.
- All rules are subject to adjustment, as needed.

Established Catering Services may use their current license and insurance to cover this. The insurance must, at Renter’s sole expense, provide and maintain public liability and personal property damage insurance insuring Tarenbee against all bodily injury, property damage, personal injury and other loss arising out of Renter’s use and occupancy of the premises, or any other occupant premises, including appurtenances to the premises and sidewalks. The insurance required hereunder shall have a single limit liability of not less than $1 Million, and general aggregate liability of not less than $2 Million. Tarenbee shall be named as an additional insured of said policy. This is the renter’s responsibility.

- If plates, utensils and/or glasses, etc. have been rented, it is the renter's/caterer's responsibility to rinse and return all items
- When calculating the hours needed to rent, you must account for all hours in the space from start of setup through end of cleanup.
Food Protection Certification & Permit to Operate a Food Enterprise
These are requirements of the Allegheny County Health Department for any food business. To obtain this, you will need to complete a course, or show evidence that a course has been completed. Generally, only one person per business is required to complete this course. Current food safety regulations require that a Certified Food Protection Manager be on-site during ALL HOURS of operation in facilities where food preparation occurs.
